A Breif Introduction To Card Captor Sakura

In ancient times, magic was a common thing. All people, magicians or common folk, could weild magic. The one thing that differentiated the two classes was the power of creation. The sorcerers could not only use magic, but create it. One particularly powerful magician, Clow Reed, created a set of cards, each holing a specific type of power. These were called the CLOW CARDS.
In modern times, magic is a lost art. Few even believe in it at all. One day, a young girl, Sakura Kinomoto (Sakura Avalon in the Dub) stumbles upon the sealed book containing the Clow Cards. By opening the book with the magic seal, she thus proves to hold her own powers of magic. The problem is that in opening the book, she releases all the cards with exception of one, the Windy card.
Clow Cards, when set free, are capable of causing great damage, and so Sakura takes the task upon herself to capture the cards. With the help of the Guardian Beast of the cards who is in his small form, Kero, Sakura takes a crash course in capturing the great power of Clow...
